Autumn is in full swing but there's plenty to do in your garden;
- Clear up fallen leaves from ponds, beds and lawns.
- Protect plants that are boarder line hardy with a thick mulch or straw.
- Keep deadheading planters, containers and hanging baskets to prolong flowering into the autumn months.
- Plant spring-flowering bulbs now such as daffodils, crocus and hyacinths for flowering next year.
- Rake your grass to get rid of moss and repair any patches.
- Plant autumn bedding to ensure colour in the autumn months through to winter.
- Insulate greenhouses to retain heat and move any tender plants inside for protection over the winter months to come.
- Raise containers onto feet to prevent waterlogging.
- Put out bird feed regularly as food sources start to become scarce.
And as always, remember to enjoy your garden!
